The Delta Zeta National Convention was held in Orlando in July and the Louisville Alumnae and Beta Gamma Chapters brought home the following awards.
Gertrude Houk Faris Award
Presented to both the Louisville Alumnae & the Beta Gamma Chapters
One award given to one alumnae and collegiate chapter for excellence in joint programming and a strong relationship.
The Louisville alumnae chapter received Alumnae Chapter Excellence Award
(only five given).
The Beta Gamma Chapter also won the following:
Crest Award - 10 given to top chapters who excelled in programming during the past biennium.
Founder’s Award – only three were given for excellence in ALL areas of chapter operations which includes philanthropy, academic programs, recruitment and membership.
Congratulations to the Beta Gamma Chapter for pledging quota of 26 new members during fall formal recruitment. This is the 44th consecutive year the chapter has pledged quota!
Congratulations to the Rho Alpha Chapter for making quota and pledging 32 new members!
We also want to congratulate the Delta Zetas at Western Kentucky University.
They pledged 29 new members!
Launched in 2018, Delta Zeta’s 35 Under 35 recognition program highlights outstanding young professionals who, before the age of 35, have achieved success by making a significant impact in their industry. Candidates of this national recognition are members who have demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication to their careers, are motivated by challenges, serve as volunteers in their communities and are role models for their peers. Congratulations to Delta Zeta Alumna, Kristen Banco Williams, MD, FACS, Beta Gamma-Louisville (KY) General Surgeon, Baptist Health Paducah, for being named to this year's list!
